Job Summary

At Northern Health Authority, we are seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our Specialized Services department. As a key member of our team, you will provide primary therapeutic, case management, and mental health and substance use support services for assigned clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary therapeutic, case management, and mental health and substance use support services for assigned clients.
  • Work under the administrative direction of the Team Lead/designate to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the inter-professional clinical team, the individual, and family.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, the public, medical staff, and members of the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate degree in a mental health and substance use related discipline, plus two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Assessment and treatment skills, including the ability to complete initial and ongoing client assessments.
  • Teaching skills, including the ability to teach clients and others both one-on-one and in groups.
  • Knowledge integration skills, including the ability to integrate best practice and current research evidence to support professional practice decisions and actions.
