We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients, including diagnosing diseases, disorders, and conditions, and initiating treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat patients with undifferentiated diseases, disorders, and conditions within your scope of practice.
- Order and interpret diagnostic investigations, and monitor patient progress.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, communicate with patients and families about health findings, and provide education and support.
- Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals to assess and diagnose patient status, and develop treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary.
- Current practicing registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Recent relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and other health professionals.
- Ability to assess and evaluate health research literature, and introduce evidence-based practice.
- Ability to recognize population health trends, and plan and implement strategies for population-based prevention and health promotion.
