Job Title: Deafblind Community Services Manager

At CNIB Deafblind Community Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Deafblind Community Services Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals who are Deafblind.

Job Summary:

The Deafblind Community Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of specialized support and emergency services to individuals who are Deafblind. This includes planning and coordinating services, supervising and coaching staff, and promoting an understanding and awareness of Deafblindness-related concerns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement service plans that meet the unique needs of individuals who are Deafblind
  • Supervise and coach staff to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve client service outcomes and program goals
  • Provide case management and support to individuals who are Deafblind
  • Facilitate the process of accessing funding and technology for individuals who are Deafblind
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technology, and practices related to Deafblindness and intervenor services
Requirements:
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of manners and settings
  • Self-directed, organized, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage staff in remote and multiple locations
  • Demonstrated individual-centered approach and commitment
  • Understanding of the principles of Continuous Quality Improvement
  • Working confidentially in a technology-intensive operating environment
  • A diploma or degree in the human services field or related work experience in the field of Deafblindness
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team
Work Environment:

The Deafblind Community Services Manager will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing services to individuals who are Deafblind in various settings, including DBCS offices, individual homes, and the community.
