Retail Store Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at J S Convenience Store. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they are equipped to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and ensure accurate and efficient processing of transactions.
  • Authorize return of merchandise and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of cashiers, retail salespersons, and sales clerks to ensure seamless store operations.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail management role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic to ensure the success of our store.
