Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team as a Forensic Psychiatric Nurse Specialist. In this role, you will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing direct care to patients with complex mental health and substance use needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of their care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and community resources to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
- At least one year of recent experience working in a forensic or acute psychiatric hospital setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Estimated salary: $83,300 - $113,600 per year.
