About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in human resources to take on various responsibilities, including recruitment activities, onboarding, performance improvement guidance, and policy development.

Daily Tasks
  • Recruitment: drafting job postings, liaising with agencies, screening applications, conducting interviews, reference/background checks, and presenting offers.
  • Coordinating the onboarding and orientation of new employees.
  • Providing guidance to managers on performance improvement and progressive discipline.
  • Assisting with the execution of the annual performance review and service awards process.
  • Developing HR policies and ensuring compliance with laws and legislation.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an HR Generalist.
  • Experience at a third-party logistics company is considered a strong asset.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS and resume database management tools.
  • Available to travel to the Head Office in Montreal when needed.
  • JHSC certification is considered an asset.
