About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist to join our team at Libra Software Group. As a key member of our deal execution team, you will play a critical role in helping us identify and acquire software businesses that align with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deal Origination: Support our deal origination team in identifying and meeting software businesses that meet our acquisition mandate and thesis.
  • Financial Modeling: Create financial models used to determine target valuations, working closely with senior executives to develop operating assumptions.
  • Due Diligence: Analyze target company financial/operational information, form investment strategies, and assist in creating investment materials including detailed valuation models, due diligence reports, and information memorandums.
  • Transaction Execution: Coordinate the later stages of the acquisition process and conduct commercial/financial due diligence and transaction execution.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and nurture relationships with management, shareholders, and advisors.
  • Offer Preparation: Support preparation and review of offers (IOIs, LOIs, definitive agreements).
Requirements
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in a top-tier investment banking, accounting, venture capital, private equity, corporate development, management consulting, or other relevant fast-paced and analytically driven investment role.
  • Distinguished academic performance with an undergraduate degree in business (MBA, CPA, and/or CFA are considered assets but not required).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and demonstrated research and analytical skills.
  • Proven research, analytical, and financial modeling skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Team player who enjoys a high-performance culture.
  • Willing and able to travel internationally on occasion for in-person due diligence meetings.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines.
