About the Role

This key position is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations, collective agreements, and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll and benefit administration processes, as well as experience managing a team within a unionized and public sector environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective leadership, guidance, and support to their team members, ensuring they have the necessary tools and training to excel in their roles. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing process improvements, analyzing costs, and preparing management reports for review and presentation to the Director.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or commerce, as well as a CPA professional accounting designation and membership in good standing with CPA-BC. A minimum of seven years of experience in a mid-level role managing payroll and benefit administration processes, reporting, analysis of costs, and development of budgets is also required.

What We Offer

The salary range for this role is $92,139 - $122,852 per annum, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. We also offer future opportunities for performance-based pay and career progression.
