About the Role

This is a permanent position working 35-40 hours per week with a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

As an Executive Chef Leader, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen team in the preparation and cooking of complete meals and specialty foods. You will supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers, instructing them in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.

You will also analyze operating costs and other data to maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory. Additionally, you will consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions, planning menus and ensuring food meets quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
  • Analyzing operating costs and other data to inform decision-making
  • SUPERVISING AND TRAINING KITCHEN STAFF TO ENSURE HIGH-QUALITY FOOD PREPARATION AND SERVICE
  • CONSULTING WITH CLIENTS TO PLAN CUSTOMIZED MENUS FOR SPECIAL EVENTS
  • ENSURING ALL FOOD MEETS QUALITY STANDARDS AND IS PREPARED IN A SAFE AND HYGIENIC ENVIRONMENT

Requirements:

  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years or equivalent experience
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
