We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at SSS Services Inc. as a key member of our construction team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
- Develop and submit tenders and quotations for construction projects.
- Build and install foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roof systems.
- Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices and supervise other workers.
- Conduct cost estimates and material assessments for projects.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, requiring strong physical abilities and attention to detail.
Requirements- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1-2 years of experience in the trade.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliability and accuracy in work.
- Client-focused and team-oriented.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, with regular bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling of heavy loads.
Language and Work HoursThe position requires fluency in English and a 40-hour workweek.
