Carpentry Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at SSS Services Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for carrying out various tasks related to carpentry and woodworking.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accurate dimensions and measurements.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to create structures and fixtures.
- Prepare tenders and quotations for clients, estimating costs and materials required for each project.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to create a solid foundation for buildings.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware to complete installations and finishes.
- Instruct apprentices and provide guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Supervise other workers and ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
- Work Setting: Construction.
- Level of Expertise: Maintenance and repair.
- Bending, crouching, kneeling movements are required to perform tasks.
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking is necessary to complete tasks and move around the work site.
- Handling heavy loads is a requirement for this position.
- Physically demanding tasks are common in this role.
