At SSS Services Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Tradesperson - Woodworking Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and woodworking, with experience in preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Supervise other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials
Requirements:
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
Work Environment:
