Job Title: Solicitor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solicitor to join our team at the City of London. As a Solicitor, you will provide legal advice and representation to the City in various matters, including civil litigation, municipal law, and real estate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and representation to the City in various matters, including civil litigation, municipal law, and real estate.
  • Act as solicitor, counsel, and advisor to the City in all aspects of one or more of the following areas of the practice of law: municipal law enforcement, provincial offences, administrative tribunals, business law, contracts, civil litigation and procedure, debtors and creditors, personal and real property, and real estate.
  • Discharge such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the City Solicitor.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor and membership in good standing in the Law Society of Upper Canada.
  • Three to five years of experience in municipal law, preferably.
  • Able to speak, write, and read French at an advanced level is an asset.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $112,978 - $148,226, a hybrid work arrangement, and a comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check.
