Job Title: Adult Care Lawyer

The City of London is committed to creating a fair and inclusive environment for all citizens. As an Adult Care Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in achieving this goal by providing legal advice and representation to the City Corporation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as solicitor, counsel, and advisor to the City Corporation in legal matters related to municipal law enforcement, administrative tribunals, and business law.
  • Provide legal advice and representation in areas such as municipal corporations, highways and streets, labour relations, insurance, and land use planning.
  • Collaborate with the City Solicitor and other stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote fairness and inclusion.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor degree and membership in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada.
  • Three to five years of experience in municipal law, preferably with a focus on adult care and social welfare.
  • Advanced proficiency in French is an asset.
Work Arrangements:

This is a temporary, full-time position for up to two years. Standard hours of work are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work arrangements are subject to change based on business requirements.
