The City of London is seeking a highly skilled and experienced lawyer to join our team as a Lawyer in Real Estate. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide expert advice and representation to the Corporation of the City of London in matters related to real estate, municipal law, and corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide legal advice and representation to the City Solicitor and other senior officials on matters related to real estate, municipal law, and corporate governance.
- Act as solicitor, counsel, and advisor to the City of London in legal matters of average or above average complexity.
- Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to real estate and municipal law.
- Represent the City of London in court and before administrative tribunals on matters related to real estate and municipal law.
- Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor degree from a recognized university.
- Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada.
- At least three to five years of experience in municipal law, preferably with a focus on real estate.
- Advanced proficiency in French is an asset.
