Job Title: Solicitor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solicitor to join our team at the City of London. As a Solicitor, you will provide legal advice and representation to the Corporation of the City of London in various areas of law, including municipal law, business law, and civil litigation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and representation to the Corporation of the City of London in various areas of law.
  • Act as solicitor, counsel, and advisor to the City Solicitor and other senior officials.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of legal documents and arguments.
  • Conduct research and analysis on legal issues and provide recommendations to the City Solicitor and other senior officials.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including other government agencies, lawyers, and experts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor and membership in good standing in the Law Society of Upper Canada.
  • Three to five years of experience in municipal law, preferably with the City of London.
  • Advanced level of French language skills is an asset.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $112,978 - $148,226, as well as a hybrid work arrangement and standard hours of work from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The successful candidate will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check.
