Job Summary

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for actively seeking out and engaging customer prospects and driving sales growth for MediPharm Labs. The successful applicant will use self-motivation and interpersonal skills to develop relationships with current and prospective customers within the Canadian legal cannabis industry.

Responsibilities
  • Spending the majority of time on the road promoting the retail sale of cannabis products: presenting, promoting, and selling MediPharm Labs' portfolio of brands.
  • Providing product education to retailers.
  • Establishing, developing, and maintaining strong customer relationships with retailers across assigned territory.
  • Reaching out to customer leads through cold calling and consistently pre-planning visits for selling opportunities.
  • Achieving agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes on schedule.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry-related trends, practices, and events.
  • Supporting the development of any sales materials.
  • Creating brand awareness and community engagement within the given territory.
  • Establishing new opportunities to promote MediPharm Labs' portfolio of brands within the confined regulations.
  • Analyzing the territory's potential, tracking activity, and submitting results reports on a regular basis to management.
  • Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, collaborating with, and making recommendations to management.
  • Collaborating with management in planning sales activities and setting goals for assigned territory.
Skills/Qualifications Needed
  • Proven work experience (2-4 years) in sales, preferably within the cannabis, beverage alcohol, or tobacco.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with emphasis on selling, communication, and negotiation.
  • Highly motivated, result-driven with excellent self-management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of regulations as it pertains to selling cannabis in British Columbia.
  • Valid Driver's Licence and vehicle is a must; travelling required.
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent preferred.
