Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC). The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in the delivery of Human Resources (HR) services to employees and management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Management
    1. Provide strategic guidance to the management team on HR practices and leadership development.
    2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of HR areas, including policies, data analytics, job evaluation, total rewards, payroll, talent acquisition, and labor relations.
    3. Participate in the Labour Management Consultation Committee (LMCC) and contribute to collective bargaining processes.
    4. Manage the classification process to ensure consistency and integrity.
    5. Monitor compensation programs and ensure equity and consistency with market data.
  2. People and Organizational Management
    1. Provide mentoring, coaching, and performance management for HR team members.
    2. Delegate work to team members based on prioritization and skills.
    3. Ensure a productive and positive culture for HR employees.
  3. Planning and Risk Management
    1. Collaborate with the Director to develop annual and multi-year plans, identify areas for improvement, and monitor outcomes.
    2. Oversee operational planning and projects, including prioritization, resource allocation, and scheduling.
    3. Establish performance targets and service level standards to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
    4. Identify operational risks and develop recommendations and action plans.
Requirements
  1. University degree in Human Resources, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 8 years of experience in HR, with 5 years of people management experience.
  3. Bilingual (English/French) is required.
  4. Knowledge of HR programs, services, and best practices.
  5. Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including collective agreements.

Employee must be able to work in a hybrid work environment with a minimum of 2 days/week in office - Ottawa, ON.
