About the Opportunity

Urban Systems is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Vancouver. In this role, you will contribute to the development of infrastructure projects for our Indigenous communities clients, leveraging your expertise in community development, municipal, and linear infrastructure engineering.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement infrastructure planning and engineering solutions for roadways, water, sanitary, drainage, and housing projects.
  • Collaborate with our Indigenous clients to identify funding opportunities and provide guidance on our diverse services, including infrastructure planning and engineering, active transportation planning, and community planning.
  • Build and maintain relationships with project leaders, clients, contractors, and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and client liaison services.
  • Prepare technical reports, plans, studies, proposals, and presentations to support project delivery.
  • Cultivate coaching and mentoring skills to support the growth and development of younger professionals within our team.

About You

We are looking for a Civil Engineer with a minimum of 5+ years of experience and registration or eligibility for registration with EGBC. Ideally, you will have a passion for working with Indigenous communities in BC and possess experience in engineering design and analysis of water systems, sanitary systems, land/subdivision development, and stormwater. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
