About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Quality Inn & Suites High Level. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and serve food to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Operate dishwashers, wash dishes, and sanitize kitchen equipment.
    • Replenish condiments and supplies in dining areas.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance
    • Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and organized.
    • Wash and sanitize floors, walls, and equipment.
    • Remove trash and recyclables from the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Receive and store supplies in the kitchen and dining areas.
    • Count and record inventory levels.
    • Order supplies as needed.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work effectively with the kitchen and dining staff to ensure seamless service.
    • Communicate with guests and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
    • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment an asset.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
