About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at the Best Western Plus Mirage Hotel & Resort. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages for guests
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
    • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
  • Kitchen Maintenance and Sanitation
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
    • Keep records of food quantities used
    • Package take-out food
  • Supply Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
    • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to resolve any issues or concerns
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
    • Experience an asset
  • Language and Communication
