Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation, heating, and finishing of simple food items, including vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the kitchen, including the washing, peeling, and cutting of vegetables and fruits.
- Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Equipment Maintenance: Sharpen kitchen knives and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
- Team Support: Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required. Permanent employment with a flexible schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication.
