Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Flamingo Inn. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment to maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring that all stock is properly labeled and stored.
- Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that all waste is disposed of in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner.
- Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Food Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, and assist with food preparation as needed.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a high level of activity and pressure.
- Physical Demands: Stand for extended periods, and be able to lift and move heavy objects as required.
- Training and Development: Willingness to train and develop skills in kitchen operations and procedures.
- Work Schedule: Permanent position, working 40 hours per week.
- Language: English language proficiency.
