About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at the Best Western Plus Mirage Hotel & Resort. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation and cooking of food, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Plate Presentation: Ensure that all dishes are presented in an attractive and appealing manner.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that all waste is disposed of properly.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment, including dishwashers, ovens, and refrigerators.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
