Bicycle Repair Shop Supervisor Job Description

Vélo iBike is seeking a skilled and experienced Bicycle Repair Shop Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our bicycle repair shop, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our shop runs efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of our bicycle repair technicians to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of our bicycle fleet, ensuring that all vehicles are in good working order.
  • Estimate costs and materials for repairs and maintenance, ensuring that our shop remains profitable.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, maintaining a safe working environment for our staff and customers.
  • Recommend personnel actions, including hiring, training, and disciplinary measures.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Organized and reliable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
