Financial Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

inMusic is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Clerk to join our Canadian office. As a key member of our finance team, this role will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the accounts receivable subsidiary ledger, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Process customer payments, including credit card payments, and reconcile invoices to ensure timely deposits.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve billing issues, answer questions, and verify discrepancies.
  • Administer the company's credit policies, ensuring past due invoices are minimized.
  • Credit approve orders prior to processing and shipping.
  • Record cash receipts in the Excel file and assist with reconciling accounts receivable.
  • Issue invoices and distribute them electronically or by mail to customers.
  • Process credits and invoices in the company ERP system (SAGE) and other relevant systems.
  • Generate the accounts receivable aging report and send it to corporate headquarters on a monthly basis.
  • Perform weekly backups of the company's ERP system (SAGE) and send the file to the outside accountants.
  • Liaison with external auditors as needed.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree preferred, High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office and Excel required.
  • Experience with automated billing software and ERP software preferred.
  • Full Professional Proficiency in English and French languages.
  • A proven team player with moral integrity, adaptability, and dependability.
  • Mathematical, analytical, and independent thinking.
  • Methodic organizational skills and initiative to perform at a high level.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to efficiently resolve problems.
