Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial statements, management discussion and analysis, and monthly internal reports. This role will also involve the preparation and review of certain month-end close processes, accounting memos, financial planning and analysis, as well as process improvement and special projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and review of monthly and quarterly closing tasks and analysis (30%);
  • Participation in the preparation of monthly internal management reporting, including analytical review, analysis of key operating metrics, and review of general ledger reconciliations (25%);
  • Assistance in the maintenance, testing, and design of internal control processes, including coordination with SOX consultants and external audit firm to maintain SOX compliance (15%);
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, management discussion and analysis, and audit committee presentation, as well as coordination with external audit firm in quarterly review and year-end audits (10%);
  • Assistance in the preparation of the annual budget and updates throughout the year (10%);
  • Assistance in other special projects, such as financing, supporting the external auditors, systems integrations/automation, ad hoc reporting requirements, and SOX requirements (10%);
  • Other related tasks.
Requirements
  • CPA designation;
  • 5+ years of experience involving the preparation of IFRS financial statements for a public company, with Big Four experience being an asset;
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS;
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite user (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint);
  • Excellent written English skills for the preparation of financial statements and management discussion and analysis.
