Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Sales and Services Manager to join our team at Accor Hotels. As a key member of our sales and events team, you will be responsible for liaising between multiple departments to meet the needs and exceed the expectations of our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Service
    • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service to our clients
    • Confirm all event-related information with clients to ensure seamless execution
  • Event Planning
    • Establish and maintain rapport with clients prior to, during and post conference to encourage repeat business
    • Service event bookings from date of booking to departure, including meeting requirements, guest room requirements, guest room pickup, food & beverage and audio visual
  • Sales and Marketing
    • Actively book new local events and maintain existing client relationships to drive revenue growth
    • Initiate billing procedures, ensuring any deposits and/or credit applications are received with adequate information and within an acceptable time frame
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Conduct pre-conference meetings with clients and pertinent departments to confirm all relevant details are communicated
    • Conduct and/or attend daily meetings to review event contracts and ensure last-minute changes are communicated with appropriate departments
  • Operational Excellence
    • Follow departmental policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective event execution
    • Follow all safety policies to ensure a safe and secure environment for our guests and staff

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a previous event leadership role
  • Experience in a luxury hotel brand preferred
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required
  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
