About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Sales Manager to join our team at Four Seasons Hotel Montreal. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for securing event contracts, promoting our catering services, and ensuring seamless execution of events. Your primary focus will be on building strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored solutions to meet their expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively solicit new business opportunities and respond to client inquiries to confirm profitable events and meet quarterly sales targets.
- Conduct site visits with potential clients to showcase our facilities and services, highlighting the unique benefits of hosting events at Four Seasons Hotel Montreal.
- Finalize event requirements, ensuring that all details are met, and that our clients receive exceptional service.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless execution of events, including arrival and departure of guests, room assembly, audio-visual needs, and special requests.
- Communicate regularly with clients to ensure their needs are met and exceeded, and to address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Prepare and distribute event orders, purchase orders, and other necessary documentation to facilitate event planning and execution.
- Attend and participate in regular meetings with the sales team, event planners, and other stakeholders to review event details and ensure smooth execution.
- Collect deposits and validate client commitments to ensure compliance with event contracts.
- Review function spaces with the Banquet Manager to ensure that all events are executed to the highest standards.
- Welcome clients on the day of the event and monitor progress to ensure that all details are met.
- Schedule post-event meetings with clients to ensure their satisfaction and gather feedback for future improvements.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- College diploma in hotel management, administration, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, including catering, events, and sales.
