Job Summary

As a skilled Millwright - Industrial Mechanic at Flex-N-Gate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. Your expertise in installing, repairing, and maintaining complex machinery and equipment will be crucial in maintaining our production efficiency and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work safely and efficiently to install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment in an industrial environment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and manufacturers' specifications to determine work procedures.
  • Dismantle, move, and assemble machinery and equipment using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Construct foundations for machines and ensure proper alignment and fastening.
  • Perform grinding, filing, and turning operations to dimensional specifications.
  • Repair and lubricate machinery and equipment to prevent downtime and maintain efficiency.
  • Collaborate with a team of skilled trades workers to perform installation and maintenance work.
  • Document all preventive maintenance activities as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory levels of spare parts, lubricants, and other essential supplies.


Requirements
  • Provincial Trade License or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience maintaining metal stamping presses, coil feeding equipment, servo transfer systems, overhead cranes, compressors, and chillers.
  • Knowledge of press room equipment, general fabrication, and machine rebuilding.
  • Metal fabricating experience is required.
  • Able to work with limited supervision.
  • Electrical background is an asset.
  • Plant Orientation Training and Job-Specific Training.
  • Willingness to work shift work and midnights if required.
