Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Millwright - Industrial Mechanic to join our team at CB Canada. As a Millwright - Industrial Mechanic, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting machinery, equipment, and supporting structures in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work and dress safely, wearing proper protective equipment and demonstrating safe use of all machinery and equipment.
  • Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Dismantle and move machinery and equipment using appropriate tools, hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
  • Assemble and install equipment such as presses, shafting, and conveyors.
  • Construct foundations for machines.
  • Assemble and align machines and equipment, ensuring they are appropriately fastened to foundation or other structures.
  • Grind, file, or turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.
  • Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
  • May install robots.
  • May perform installation and maintenance work as part of a team of skilled trades workers.
  • Perform and document all p.m. activities as directed by Maintenance Manager.
  • Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels of spare parts, lubricants, etc.
Requirements
  • Possess a Provincial Trade License, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience maintaining metal stamping presses, coil feeding equipment, servo transfer systems, overhead cranes, compressors, and chillers.
  • Knowledge of press room equipment, general fabrication, and machine rebuilding.
  • Metal fabricating experience is required.
  • Able to work with limited supervision.
  • Electrical background an asset.
  • Plant Orientation Training.
  • Job Specific Training.
  • Must be willing to work shift work and midnights if required.
