Clinical Scheduling Specialist

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for providing exceptional patient service in the Medical Imaging department at Brightshores. The successful candidate will be responsible for registering, booking, and scheduling patient visits, as well as entering orders and ensuring data quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register patients and schedule appointments in a timely and efficient manner
  • Enter orders and ensure accurate and complete data entry
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff
  • Work collaboratively with the Medical Imaging team to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and/or post-secondary medical secretarial education or equivalent
  • Successful completion of PM Access training and testing
  • Proven experience in clinical scheduling environments, including using Cerner ESM
  • Ability to utilize Cerner patient information system, including ADT procedures, FirstNet tracking & triage registration, statistical verification, and census reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Microsoft Office experience, including Word
  • Typing speed of 30 WPM
  • Medical terminology knowledge
  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
  • Capable of filing and maintaining accurate records
  • Ability to work all shifts, including weekends
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record
