Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Brightshores. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing diabetes education and management services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized diabetes education plans for patients
  • Provide group and individual instruction on diabetes management and self-care
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest diabetes management guidelines and best practices
  • Supervise dietetic interns and provide mentorship
  • Contribute to the development of educational materials and resources
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Nutrition or equivalent
  • Graduate from an accredited Internship/Masters Practicum Program
  • General membership with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
  • Recent clinical experience in diabetes education
  • Certificate in Diabetes Education and/or Principles of Adult Education
  • Ability to support intensive insulin therapy and become certified in insulin management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
