Injection Molding Machine Technician

Job Summary
The Service Technician at ENGEL performs critical work at customer sites, ensuring the optimal performance of injection molding machines and robots. This role involves providing customer training and support, as well as troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines and robots, including conducting tests and inspections on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic components.
• Perform safety checks on equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
• Educate customers on equipment operation and provide training on proper use.
• Manage customer issues, including ordering replacement parts as necessary.
• Collaborate with the Central Service/Manufacturing/Parts Center to resolve problems encountered in the field.
• Provide regular written reports to the Service Manager.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma Required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience:
• 5+ Years in Injection Molding troubleshooting or processing or prior experience as a Field Service Injection Molding Technician/Service Engineer
Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Experience with injection molding machines and ability to provide basic training for customers and employees
• Knowledge and understanding of the injection molding process
• Ability to troubleshoot problems systematically
• Knowledge of microprocessor programming
• Familiarity with ENGEL machines and robots is preferred
