The WSP USA team is seeking a Strategic Asset Management Executive to lead the development and implementation of a best-in-class asset management program. This role will oversee the strategic and operational management of the company's tangible vehicle and equipment assets, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards while maximizing utilization and cost recovery throughout the asset lifecycle.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement comprehensive asset management strategies to maximize utilization and lifecycle value of vehicle and equipment assets
  • Lead the deployment and implementation of a newly acquired national Asset Management solution
  • Establish standard policies and operational guidelines for solution implementation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as and lead a team of subject matter experts in the implementation of a newly selected asset management solution
  • Ensure assets are fit for use and meet regulatory and safety requirements
  • Implement monitoring and reporting systems and processes to track asset performance and utilization metrics
  • Monitor and analyze asset utilization data to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure optimal deployment of assets
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis related to asset management
  • Work closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate asset valuation and depreciation
  • Develop and oversee maintenance programs to ensure the reliability, safety, and longevity of assets
  • Create and maintain asset management policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
  • Leverage technology and innovation to enhance asset management processes

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong analytical and financial management skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Proficiency in asset management software and data analytics tools
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to asset management
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
  • MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g. IAM, PEMAC or equivalent asset management certification an asset)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in asset management, focusing on tangible vehicle and equipment assets
