We are seeking a highly skilled Test and Automation Engineer to join our Advanced Development Engineering Laboratory at Skyworks. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving the future of RF measurements using cutting-edge hardware and software solutions.
This position can be based in one of our locations: Woburn or Andover, MA; Irvine, or San Jose CA; or Ottawa, Canada.
Key Responsibilities- Design and execute RF measurement setups that align with Skyworks' strategic objectives.
- Analyze test results and identify measurement issues for resolution.
- Develop and present product validation data reports to marketing and engineering teams.
- Understand test requirements for RF products, including power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, couplers, switches, acoustic filters, and integrated RF Front End WiLAN transmit/receive modules.
- Provide technical support to test technicians during daily activities.
- Apply knowledge of spectral analysis, network analysis, modulated signal analysis (e.g., EVM, ACLR, SEM), noise figure, digital control, serial bus control, digital pre-distortion, envelope tracking, and DC analysis/pulsed current.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with at least 8 years of experience in an RF laboratory environment.
- OR equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of RF principles and theory, as well as practical working knowledge of Wi-Fi/Cellular/IoT/Infrastructure measurement experience.
- Proficiency in test automation software, using LabVIEW, C#, Python, or Matlab.
- Highly organized and motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Curious, creative, and a collaborative problem solver.
- Team player with a focus on business unit goals and outcomes in a fast-paced priority-driven environment.
- Database scripting experience is an asset (SQL, MSSQL, MySQL, etc.).
- Familiarity with statistical concepts is an asset.
Salary range for this role is CAD $99,200 - $169,300 per year, with starting base pay depending on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, and job duties and requirements.
