About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Test and Automation Engineer to join our Advanced Development Engineering Laboratory at Skyworks. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving the future of RF measurements using cutting-edge hardware and software solutions.

This position can be based in one of our locations: Woburn or Andover, MA; Irvine, or San Jose CA; or Ottawa, Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and execute RF measurement setups that align with Skyworks' strategic objectives.
  2. Analyze test results and identify measurement issues for resolution.
  3. Develop and present product validation data reports to marketing and engineering teams.
  4. Understand test requirements for RF products, including power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, couplers, switches, acoustic filters, and integrated RF Front End WiLAN transmit/receive modules.
  5. Provide technical support to test technicians during daily activities.
  6. Apply knowledge of spectral analysis, network analysis, modulated signal analysis (e.g., EVM, ACLR, SEM), noise figure, digital control, serial bus control, digital pre-distortion, envelope tracking, and DC analysis/pulsed current.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with at least 8 years of experience in an RF laboratory environment.
  2. OR equivalent experience.
  3. Strong understanding of RF principles and theory, as well as practical working knowledge of Wi-Fi/Cellular/IoT/Infrastructure measurement experience.
  4. Proficiency in test automation software, using LabVIEW, C#, Python, or Matlab.
  5. Highly organized and motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  7. Curious, creative, and a collaborative problem solver.
  8. Team player with a focus on business unit goals and outcomes in a fast-paced priority-driven environment.
  9. Database scripting experience is an asset (SQL, MSSQL, MySQL, etc.).
  10. Familiarity with statistical concepts is an asset.

Salary range for this role is CAD $99,200 - $169,300 per year, with starting base pay depending on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, and job duties and requirements.
