About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Allwood Industries Ltd. as a Custom Furniture Craftsman. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality custom cabinets and furniture pieces for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Fabrication: Study plans, specifications, and drawings to create custom-made cabinets that meet our clients' needs.
  • Woodworking Expertise: Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and test finished products to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our design team to ensure that all projects are completed on time and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest woodworking techniques and technologies to improve our products and processes.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a strong understanding of woodworking principles and practices is essential.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a custom cabinet shop or millwork environment.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in a physically demanding environment.
