About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Custom Wood Furniture Craftsman to join our team at Kohinoor Looms Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality custom wood furniture pieces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Train Apprentices

Supervise and train junior craftsmen to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to produce high-quality furniture pieces.

Design and Plan Furniture Pieces

Study plans, specifications, and drawings to create custom wood furniture pieces that meet our high standards.

Assemble and Finish Furniture

Trim joints, fit parts and subassemblies together, and reinforce joints to create complete furniture units. Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.

Maintain a Safe and Clean Work Environment

Ensure a safe and clean work environment by maintaining a tidy workspace and adhering to safety protocols.

Supervise and Coordinate with Other Workers

Supervise and coordinate with other workers to ensure efficient production and high-quality output.

Estimate Costs and Materials

Estimate costs and materials required for each project to ensure accurate pricing and efficient production.

Repair and Restyle Furniture

Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products to meet customer requirements.

Requirements
  • Team Player

We are looking for a team player who can work collaboratively with our production team to achieve our goals.

Hours: 40 hours per week
