Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Build - Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made, and bring them to life using your expertise in woodworking.
  • Quality Control - Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Finishing Touches - Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, preparing and applying laminated plastics as needed.
  • Maintenance and Repair - Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Estimation and Planning - Estimate costs and materials, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements
  • Education - Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience - 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Work Setting - Industrial or commercial settings.
  • Physical Capabilities - Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Personal Qualities - Team player with a strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
