Job Description:

We are seeking a Project Technologist to join our team in Richmond, BC.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assessing and monitoring various workplaces and building structures throughout BC, identifying hazardous materials and ensuring the implementation of health and safety protocols.

You will be responsible for conducting building assessments, abatement field reviews, and writing site review reports and technical reports. Effective communication with your manager and client stakeholders is essential in ensuring that project objectives and needs are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site assessments, inspections, and testing relating to hazardous building materials
  • Travel between different job sites within the Lower Mainland and throughout BC
  • Interpret and analyze sample results in relation to WorkSafe BC requirements
  • Prepare technical reports detailing assessment findings and providing recommendations
  • Coordinate and monitor hazardous materials abatement sub-contractors
  • Collection and analysis of air samples for asbestos, lead, and other hazardous materials
  • Use and calibrate field sampling equipment and microscopes
  • Liaise with clients and sub-contractors to ensure health, safety, and hygiene needs are addressed and met
Requirements:

We are looking for individuals with good communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance are required for travel around the designated region.
