Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be part of a project team responsible for managing and resolving material-related issues for assigned projects. This will involve direct interaction with stores, warehouse, shipping/receiving, and Purchasing departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and prioritize material supply requirements and monitor demands that may impact aircraft schedules.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers on material requirements.
  • Work with material branches to ensure effective material support and delivery.
  • Lead and coordinate stock taking across hangars.
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure chemical supply to hangars.
  • Communicate project activities and requirements with supporting Material teams.
  • Liaise with domestic and international customers and representatives.
  • Keep the department informed on progress and resource issues.
  • Communicate material performance figures to the project team.
  • Capture and act on material lessons learned from each project.
  • Investigate root causes for repetitive supply problems and recommend corrective action.
  • Follow up and report on subcontract activities.
  • Provide advice on interpreting raw data related to material demand.
  • Convene and attend meetings to expedite material availability and support.
  • Read, understand, and comply with material operations company procedures and directives.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain or logistics, preferably in the aircraft industry.
  • College Diploma in business-related studies or equivalent training and experience.
  • Strong skills in MS Office Suite and company ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with Canadian Forces Supply System (CFSS/DRMIS) is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently with strong analytical and customer service skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the Aerospace supply environment and its major challenges.
  • Familiarity with the ISO9001:2015 and AS9100 quality environments.
  • Familiarity with International Traffic and Arms Regulation (ITAR) is an asset.
  • Eligibility to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC-Contract Security Program, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
