Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and resolving material-related issues for assigned projects by interacting directly with stores, warehouse, shipping/receiving, and Purchasing teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- In conjunction with project teams, review and prioritize material supply requirements to monitor demands or requirements that may impact aircraft schedules.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to manage material requirements effectively.
- Coordinate with different material branches to ensure efficient material support and delivery.
- Lead stock taking activities across hangars.
- Liaise with vendors to secure chemical supplies for hangars.
- Communicate major project activities and requirements to supporting Material teams.
- Facilitate effective communication with domestic and international customers and representatives.
- Provide regular updates on progress and resource utilization to the department.
- Analyze and communicate material performance metrics to project teams.
- Capture and implement 'Material Lessons Learned' from each project.
- Investigate root causes of repetitive supply problems and recommend corrective actions.
- Report on subcontract activities and provide advice on data interpretation related to material demand.
- Convene meetings with employees, supervisors, and management to expedite material availability and support.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain or logistics, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- College diploma in business-related studies or equivalent experience.
- Strong skills in MS Office Suite and company ERP systems.
- Familiarity with Canadian Forces Supply System (CFSS/DRMIS) is an asset.
- Ability to work independently with strong analytical and customer service skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with the aerospace supply environment and its challenges.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 quality environments.
- Familiarity with International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR) is an asset.
- Eligibility for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC-Contract Security Program, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
