Maintenance Team Lead

The Maintenance Supervisor role at GFL Environmental is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance department and supervising a team responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of the company's fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily planning and scheduling of all repair work to optimize productivity.
- Supervise, coach, train, evaluate employee performance or behavior.
- Conduct daily shop huddles and fleet walks.
- Perform inspections of outside repairs to ensure all work was properly completed.
- Track issues and conduct Quality Control Inspections (QCI's).
- Plan and schedule repairs in M5 planner and procure all parts for successful plan.
- Analyze the quality and effectiveness of the work performed.
- Oversee repair diagnostics on more complex matters.
- Conduct road test on equipment as necessary.
- Assist with inventory control system to ensure necessary equipment and part levels are maintained.
- Review and approve expenses that are within approval level.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Three (3) or more years of heavy diesel truck maintenance experience.
- One (1) or more years of lead technician or supervisory experience.
- Microsoft Office experience.

- Ability to read, write, and comprehend reports and associated documents.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet time sensitive deadlines.
- Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects.
