**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for wound, ostomy, and continence care to join our team in Downtown Toronto. In this role, you will perform detailed assessments of clients with wound, ostomy, and/or continence related concerns and develop plans of care based on your findings.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Perform detailed holistic assessments of clients with wound, ostomy, and/or continence related concerns
• Develop treatment recommendations in collaboration with the interprofessional team and implement plans of care
• Evaluate the effectiveness of plans of care and make adjustments as needed
• Provide education and mentorship to healthcare providers and students
• Facilitate the dissemination of wound, ostomy, and continence knowledge among healthcare professionals
• Collaborate with the interprofessional team to reduce duplication of services and client anxiety
• Support quality healthcare through teaching, mentoring, and program development
• Optimize client outcomes through review of Quality Improvement (QI) reports
• Identify nursing trends and issues related to specialty wound, ostomy, and continence management
**Requirements:**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Current and active membership in NSWOC Canada
• Completion of Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence Canada (NSWOCC) WOC-EP program (international certification may be considered if approved by NSWOCC)
• A valid RN license with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Excellent communication and teaching skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
**Benefits and Compensation:**
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits, pension, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
