Job Summary
GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Industrial Services Operator to join our team in Trail, BC. As an Industrial Services Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation, removal, delivery, and collection of hazardous waste from various locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a range of vehicles, including vacuum trucks, box trucks, and other equipment, to perform tasks required by customers.
- Load and unload trucks, and maintain accurate records of activities.
- Participate in job site preparation, including the rigging in/out of equipment.
- Ensure all equipment and tooling is properly cleaned and stored.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Class 1 or 3 driver's license with an acceptable commercial driving abstract.
- Ability to travel when required.
- Flexibility to work after-hours for call-outs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in waste management or a related field.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs.
