Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Technician to join our team at METRO XPRESS INC. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, and ensure accurate benefits administration.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure.
