Lead a team to establish high-performance SC organizations, achieving Vertical Start Up (VSU) status and driving continuous improvement across the value chain.

About the role

The BCOS GF Leader will guide the project team and develop with local management the new organization, technical capabilities, and deployment of BCOS work processes. The role requires extensive experience in implementing lean/TPM programs at blue chip companies and experience with initiatives start-ups applying TPM Early Management methodologies.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on setting up a project team to deliver VSU with assets designed and operated at Autonomous Maintenance Step3/Progressive Maintenance Step 4 as per BCOS pillar structure.
  • Produce project and start-up master plans with respective start-up targets/objectives, covering SC balanced scorecards across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, and Environment.
  • Manage globally set initiatives (brownfield or greenfield projects) applying and implementing BCOS full program.
  • Manage progress of GF/BF master plan, providing guidance and agreeing corrective actions versus plan/methodology.

About you

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Advanced level of English.
  • Clear ability to understand business needs, develop, and deploy a strategy to reach business goals.
  • In-depth expertise in Continuous Improvement methodologies, such as TPS, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and High Performance Organization.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity, breakthrough thinking, keep people accountable, and directing others.
  • Vast experience on practical implementation of TPM, including application of Early Management Pillar.

Essential experience and knowledge:

  • Places safety of people, process, and product as highest priority.
  • Strong understanding and know-how of Lean manufacturing principles, IWS, TPM, WCM, Six Sigma Methodologies, and other improvement processes & techniques.
  • Deployed a Plant Operating System including Pillar activation & development of both the pillar owners & content.
  • Strong background in leading and implementing sustained Change Management resulting in improved organizational & manufacturing performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and facilitate change across the whole organization.
  • Strong working knowledge of Cultural and Management of Changes.
  • Extensive software capability including Google Environment, Excel, Word, Minitab (or other statistical software) and MS Project.

Leadership competencies and personal style:

  • Strong influencing skill, ability to direct the BCOS program without formal authority over organization leaders.
  • Experience in leading areas of Supply Chain, such as Manufacturing Operations, Planning, Logistic/Distribution, and Procurement.
  • Being capable to support make-or-buy studies and analysis for construction of business cases (brownfield and/or greenfield).
