Job Title: Grocery Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Grocery Clerk to join our team at 6th Avenue Food Market and Smoke Shop LTD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring accurate inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and provide assistance with finding products.
  • Inventory Management: Receive and stock merchandise, maintain accurate inventory levels, and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
  • Store Maintenance: Clean and maintain the store, including the sales floor, stockroom, and customer areas.
  • Point of Sale: Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Work Setting: Supermarket/grocery store.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, and walking.
