About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Grocery Store Associate at 6th Avenue Food Market and Smoke Shop LTD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their shopping needs, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, facing merchandise, and rotating stock to ensure a visually appealing store.
  • Cash Handling: Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Stockroom Operations: Receive and process inventory shipments, count and verify stock levels, and maintain a clean and organized stockroom.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals, provide support during peak periods, and maintain a positive and respectful work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Experience: Experience an asset
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced retail environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The role requires standing for extended periods and repetitive tasks.
