Job Title: Grocery Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Grocery Clerk to join our team at 6th Avenue Food Market and Smoke Shop LTD.

Job Summary:

The Grocery Clerk will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring accurate inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and provide assistance with finding products.
  • Inventory Management: Restock shelves, count and sort inventory, and maintain accurate records.
  • Store Maintenance: Clean and organize store areas, including the stockroom and sales floor.
  • Point of Sale: Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Work Setting: Supermarket/grocery store.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Repetitive Tasks: Standing for extended periods, walking, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
